Salomon fellraiser fell running shoes reviews. I always liked the speedcross 3 but the treads wore out really fast the heel was a bit too high and they were expensive. Salomon has really done a great job with this shoe. It is like the best of the s lab fellcross and the speed cross 3 in a very affordable shoe that has great traction just the right heel drop and accommodates a wider foot.
What a great looking shoe low rise along the back very aggressive sole and a snug fit. It seems a little snug on the length but fine on the width for a 105 size. I have a narrow foot and I hope it will relax a little after some wear.
This is my first Salomon shoe after some research on a good trail shoe. Salomons Fellraiser is a recent addition to the ever growing fell running shoe market. My only experience of wearing Salomon shoes is their XA Pro trail running shoe which arent really designed for most of the running I do so I was keen to get my feet into a pair of their dedicated fell shoes and put them to the test.
Despite being pretty low profile they actually feel pretty well cushioned helped to this in part by the Orthofit insole. Out on the trail the Fellraiser performs well in almost all coditions wet grass mud and loose ground are no match for the Salomon solethe only weak point being in crossing wet rocks where the grip is not that reassuring. Salomon have a great heritage in fell and trail running and some of my running heroes swear by their shoes.
When I opened the box I was delighted to see that the had come in Mudstacle colours and matched my yellow vest perfectly. I couldnt wait to get out and go running in them so I went for a cheeky trot around my local trails at lunch time. Salomon Fellraiser shoes last for quite a long time.
The carbon rubber is strategically placed in high abrasion areas enhancing durability to the sole unit. As I see after several months of use theres very little sign of tear and wear and once the cushioning is compacted I can keep wearing them for lower impact activities. The Best Trail Running Shoes.

The Fellraiser is all about digging into terra. Both shoes use Salomons fell running last but the Fellraiser has a slightly more generous fit with a wider toe box and a deeper heel cup. This combined with a bit of extra padding makes the shoe feel softer and more instantly comfortable on my foot.

It fits true to size. In a nutshell I view the Fellraiser as a mid-cushion fairly flat neutral all-round off-roader. It has the standard Salomon elastic lacing system.
The upper is a bit more substantial than the canvas Speedcross 3 and seems to release water very easily. The tread is close-knit chevrons - much more so than I expected of a fell shoe with considerably more lugs than you would find on a. Andrew reviews the Salomon Fellraiser.
