Overall the Scarpa Booster S is an impressive shoe that excels when climbing both overhanging and vertical terrain. Although relatively comfortable the shoe does have some hot spots on the top buckle and the top of toes after climbing.
But if you are an advanced climber then it will serve your purpose but we are not calling it best.
Scarpa reflex climbing shoes review. I purchased them without knowing much about climbing shoes but after figuring out what size I needed I decided to try these. They fit nice and snug but are still comfortable. I am able to climb for as long as I need without worrying about my feet Although as a beginner its usually not more than a couple hours.

The downturned shape of the shoe is perfect for creating power on small holds and provided a strong foundation for toe-hooking.
Although relatively comfortable the shoe does have some hot spots on the top buckle and the top of toes after climbing. The Scarpa Instinct is competitively priced with other high-end performance shoes and is around 10 cheaper than the La Sportiva Genius. Our experience has been that they resole well but if sized too tightly the upper develops a hole over the big toe knuckle.
Otherwise the shoe seems durable. The pull tabs remain in place after lots of aggressive yarding and the velcro buckle shows no signs of. The Scarpa Vapor V is a workhorse.

I was worried this shoe would be too friendly in terms of being labelled for beginners from all the reviews I read but it has continued to prove me wrong time after time. I mainly climb indoors and have not ventured to level. Bouldering but this shoe has helped me advanced immensely in terms of my climbing experience and I cant wait to keep moving forward or upward with this pair of Scarpa.
